How much will my translation cost?

The price of a translation will be calculated according to size and complexity of the text in question. Another influence is the time available for a translation.

The size of a text can be calculated based on the number of standard lines in the source or target text. A standard line consists of 55 characters including spaces and punctuation. Another calculation method is based on the number of words in the source or target text.

Examples for different levels of difficulty of a text are:

easy to understand without technical terms
texts covering areas of specialisation using generally known technical terms
technically challenging texts requiring in-depth research
text material that cannot be transferred by straight-forward translation, but requires adaptation to capture the original meaning

Special formatting, certifications, and postage will be charged separately. Proof-reading may be charged at an hourly rate or by word/line.
